Within the framework of the «EU4Shirak: Wool for Jobs» project, Goris Women’s Development Resource Center Foundation has been organizing and conducting professional trainings for local women in Amasia, with the opportunity to work in the wool breeding center in Amasia.
It will contribute to production of quality yarn, processed industrially and semi-manually; design and production of woollen products based on local traditional know-how, but adapted to current and future domestic and international market fashion trends. The action will foster women’s economic empowerment, providing new skills and jobs to women from rural areas, traditionally more engaged in the crafts sector.
The project is implemented by People in Need NGO, the Women’s Development Resource Center Foundation, Shirak Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Amasia Municipality.
It is co-funded by the European Union Delegation to Armenia and the Government of Armenia.
